Hi All. Sorry it has been so long since I've blogged. I seriously can't believe another month has gone by. We don't have much to tell. We are patiently waiting for the weather to clear up. We are all so tired of winter and ready for warmer temps and sunshine.

Hope to have more to blog in the next fews weeks. We are finally going to be doing some traveling!

I added a lot of new pictures to our March album.

Hugs!!

10 Months

I just can't believe how big our baby is getting. Tyler turned 10 months old this week. He is reaching many milestones and has some new tricks. He is full up crawling and into EVERYTHING! I forgot how busy a crawling baby can be. We had to get out the baby gate so we could contain him in one area. His favorite is to play with cords and unplug anything plugged in. The other day he came crawling into the bathroom with a nightlight in his mouth. He is also pulling up to his knees. Tyler isn't interested in any of his toys. He would rather play with all the things he can't have and of course all of his sister's things. Morgan is a good sport, but there are certain things she absolutely won't let him have. She'll say, "this is my favorite or it is really special." Tyler loves to clap, especially when prompted by a "yeah." He also loves to do So Big, followed up by more clapping.

Sleep and eating are issues all in themselves. Both are actually getting better. As for sleep, Tyler slept through the night (at least until 0530) twice this week. That is a huge accomplishment at our house! He is still continuing to be stubborn when it comes to eating. He is super picky and can not be easily coaxed into just one more bite. He has tried a lot of new foods and we've actually found a couple that he likes. His favorite foods are Cheerios, puffs, & yogurt.

I'm adding more pictures to our February album and I promise that one day Erik will add some video clips. Hugs to you all!

Kiddo update

I'm so far behind on blogging, that I'm doing all our updates at once! This will be a combined Morgan and Tyler post.

Morgan has had a busy month. She started dance class a couple of weeks ago and absolutely loves it. She goes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Now every morning of the week is busy for her. She always has something to look forward to and I think she is disappointed when it is the weekend and she can't go to school or dance. Morgan loved celebrating Valentine's Day. She enjoyed making cards for school. She signed her name 26 times! It only took us a week to get them all done!

Tyler has been busy as well. He started crawling earlier this week and getting from his tummy to sitting. He thinks it is so funny and loves to entertain us. We will try and get some video downloaded for y'all to see. I don't think Tyler enjoyed Valentine's Day. He came down with pink eye and a yucky cold. I felt so bad for him. He had goop pouring out of both eyes and his nose. Poor sugar!

Piancavallo

Last weekend we took Morgan up to Piancavallo to go sledding. Once we FINALLY figured out where to go, she had a blast. We probably walked close to 2 miles trying to find the sledding area. Once we got there, there were hundreds of people and no 2 person sleds left. We rented a small wooden one and off Morgan and Erik headed to the sledding slopes. Tyler and I decided to make the long walk back to the van. There were so many people that we couldn't find a place to sit. Walking downhill was much easier! You have to do everything in Italy twice. Once to figure it all out, and then a second time to actually enjoy it! We hope to attempt sledding again in the next couple of weeks:)

Carnivale...almost

We took the kids to Maniago for Carnivale a couple of weeks ago. It is a country-wide festival for 2 weeks leading up to Lent. It is very similar to Mardi Gras. All the kids dress up and there is a parade and a lot of confetti throwing, well, at least this is what they tell us. Our trip to Maniago was a bust. For some reason carnivale was cancelled. Even the Italians were showing up and trying to figure you what was going on. Oh well, there is always next year! Morgan had a ton of fun anyway running around with all her friends.

What a great week. Tyler turned 9 months, Erik finally got home from his trip, and The Cats crushed KU! Our only disappointment was that we couldn't watch the game.

Tyler turned 9 months on Sunday. The time sure is flying and I really want it to slow down. I'm not ready for my sweet man to not be a baby anymore. He is getting better with eating and sleeping. Thank Goodness! He is also getting quite fast with rolling all over. It doesn't take him long to get from one side of the room to the other. Tyler is starting to show all the signs of crawling. He thinks it is so funny to rock on his hands and knees.

Morgan is thoroughly enjoying school. She can't wait for it to be a school day. I just enrolled her in a dance class that starts next week. She is excited to wear her new pink leotard and tights. Morgan just recovered from pink eye and an ear infection. To get me out of bed in the morning she says "Mommy, I think I have a pink eye."

Erik returned from a 2 1/2 week TDY. He had a great time and I think he maybe even squeezed in some work:) He added an album so check out his travels.

We added a few more pics of the kids in the January album and will add February pictures soon.

Tyler had a Dr.'s appt. yesterday. He weighed in at 20 pounds and is measuring 28 1/2 inches. He is almost exactly the same size as Morgan was at this age. My main concern for Tyler is that he is refusing most solid foods. The Dr. wants him to see an ENT doctor and a speech pathologist. I honestly believe Tyler is just being stubborn! I'm going to give it a couple more weeks. I keep thinking that if he would eat 3 solid meals a day, then just maybe he might sleep better at night.

We are on day 6 of daddy being on a "trip." Morgan is diligently counting the days to daddy being home. She tells me multiple times a day "I miss my daddy." I know it must difficult for her and hard to understand. She promised Erik that she would be a good girl and a good listener for mommy. When she is misbehaving I remind her of her promise. She'll say "Oops, I forgot and I got my listeners back!"

Hugs to you all. We miss you!
